Locate an activity in the future

In today’s class, we are going to see the subjunctive mode for the first time. Everyone is scared of the subjunctive mode, there are many memes and jokes on the internet about it, but we will see it, just like everything else, step by step.

First of all, I must explain what a verbal mode is. So far, we have seen a lot of tenses: el presente de indicativo, el pretérito indefinido, el pretérito perfecto, el pretérito imperfecto, el pretérito pluscuamperfecto y el futuro imperfecto. Well, all these tenses are within a verbal mode that is called “indicative.”

There is another verbal mode called “subjunctive” and which also has different tenses. Today we will see the present subjunctive.

When we use “cuando” followed by a sentence with future value, we need to use the present from the subjunctive mode.
